Us! |
My name is Heather, born and raised in Montana, currently living Seattle with my new-ish husband Cayce, and and our ewok of a dog Gus (aka pupperton, sir puppers pants, guster man, gustophson, goose and booogie - don't ask...). I work in Digital Advertising for Allrecipes.com. This means that I am surrounded by food on a daily basis...I lead a dangerous life some would say. Lucky for me there is a noon Zumba class across the street!

Us with Gus! |
Cayce and I got married on September 5, 2010 in Montana with our nearest and dearest. I am still having wedding withdrawals! We met at my first job out of college, Cayce's third (more on that later!) in 2005. It wasn't love at first sight but more of a I-disdain-fratboys kind of thing. All this changed one night in a lovely town of Allentown, PA in 2006 where we were both traveling for work. After 2 chocolate martinis and great conversation I was hooked (still find it odd that my future "fratboy" husband was enjoying chocolate martinis....hmm) and we have been together ever since.

Us at our wedding! |
We just bought our first house in March 2010. We're slowly working on making it grand. Our house is in Edmonds, a sleepy town just about 15 miles north of Seattle. This being the first time we have lived out of the city it's been an adjustment but we both really love it! I am a DIY dork and truly believe everything I see I can somehow recreate for about 70% less, this doesn't always turn out and sometimes my husband thinks I am a loony.
I will be blogging about things I like - hopefully you take intesrest as well. Topics may include:
- Decore - I try to be Martha Stewart and am always DIY'ing, much to the husbands amusement
- Food - I am a foodie, I love to cook when I have time and love to eat anytime!
- Fashion - I am indecisive and might ask for opinions on outfits
- Travel - Cayce and I are both travel junkies. I have been to 48 of the 50 state and he 47 (don't quote me on that number). We have also been to SE Asia, Brazil, Mexico, Canada and are gearing up for our next adventure to celebrate 1 year of marriage - Italy and Paris!
