The whole point to this long winded story was that since I had a surprising ride home, I had a buddy to go get happy hour with in Edmonds. We haven't really explored our new home yet - we decided someplace on the water would be good and Anthony's had the latest happy (until 6:30) so that was our place!
They had a great hh menu, $3 beers and $5 wines (not just the house wine either, there was a whole list!), they also had some $5 cocktails that looked tasty. Cayce opted for beer and me a white wine, both were delish! We also partook in some ahi nachos that were really different and very yummy. Taro chips with ahi sashimi, and a sesame pineapple chutney and cream sauce - SUPER GOOD! So happy hour was great BUT (yes there is a but) we realized a couple things:
1. Anthony's was most likely built in 1983 and hasn't had a face lift
2. Anthony's proved our point once again that there is, aheem, a "lack of diversity" in Edmonds.
3 We might be the only people between the ages of 28- 36 that live in Edmonds - in order to make a happy hour you have to bust your ass home or be retired, not many people can make it there at 3
All in all we enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back, but we are still to adjusting to this change of scenery - not that it is a bad thing, we are still absolutely loving our decision!
